Hardie took over the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce in March 2015 after more than 30 years in the newspaper business. He worked with local leaders to help establish a Jackson County Economic Development Committee, organized a pop-up retail program with the Black River Falls Downtown Association, and owns/operates Brambleberry Country Inn and Winery. Hardie has also served on various regional boards, including the Tomah Area Chamber of Commerce, the Village People in West Salem, the Greater La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce, the La Crosse Area Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and served as president of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association. The 7 Rivers Alliance team is thrilled to work with him and have him lead this organization.

Dr. Herr holds a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Washington where she specialized in creating innovative Workforce Development programs that supported a talent pipeline for high demand industries. During her leadership of the 7 Rivers Alliance, Herr created a board of directors, doubled the organization’s operating budget and secured $200,000 in funding for the WISE workforce development plan. In addition, Herr was instrumental in launching the State of the Region event, the Golden Shovel Site Verification Program and the 7 Rivers Alliance Foundation, and partnered with the La Crosse Tribune to launch the Rising Stars Under 40 awards.

Chin-Chin Minniear

Chin-Chin is a wonderful addition to The 7 Rivers Alliance with her rich background in Public Policy.  In the past, she has held the position of Program Examiner in the Health Division of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, Subcommittee Staff Director for the U.S. House of Representatives under Congresswoman Deborah Pryce, and Director of Public Policy and Advocacy for Mental Health America.  Chin-Chin will be focusing on our new WISE Project and continuing to promote community development in the 7 Rivers Region.

Hayley is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, pursuing a degree in Marketing and a minor in Art. Hayley has a passion for printmaking and graphic design. For the past year, she has held the position as the Marking Assistant for the Office of Residence Life at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. She is thrilled to be apart of The 7 Rivers Alliance team and hopes to bring her talents to the organization as well as learn and grow from the experience.

Anna is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, pursuing a degree in Marking with a minor in Graphic Design. She is a full-time student as well as the President of American Marketing Association.  She is excited to be apart of The 7 Rivers Alliance team and hopes to learn and grow from this internship so she can apply what she has learned to future jobs.
