Chris Hardie Named New CEO of 7 Rivers Alliance

The 7 Rivers Alliance has a mission of regional collaboration and the new leader of the organization brings decades of experience working across the region.

 

 

hardieChris Hardie, the executive director of the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce and former executive editor and weeklies publisher with the River Valley Media Group, has been named the new CEO of the 7 Rivers Alliance. Hardie, 53, of rural Taylor, replaces Lisa Herr who is leaving to take over a nonprofit in Seattle.

 

“It’s truly a privilege to take over as leader of this great regional organization,” Hardie said. “I’ve worked with Lisa and her staff over the past few years on regional economic initiatives and I look forward to helping promote and grow the wonderful area where we live and work.” Hardie worked with local leaders to help establish a Jackson County Economic Development Committee, organized a pop-up retail program with the Black River Falls Downtown Association and had recently joined the 7 Rivers Alliance Board. He has also served on various regional boards, including the Tomah Area Chamber of Commerce, the Village People in West Salem, the Greater La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce, the La Crosse Area Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and served as president of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association.
