Throughout the state, there are a wide variety of property types available for sale or lease. Wisconsin is creating consistent standards for sustainable development certification of industrial sites with a minimum of 20 contiguous acres. A Certified Site is a sustainable development-ready site meeting certain criteria, including site size, availability of utility and transportation infrastructure, physical and technical condition, environmental assessments, quality of labor force, and support by local communities. A Certified In Wisconsin site has the key reviews, documentations and assessments most commonly required for industrial uses. Certification criteria have been developed based on representative needs of advanced manufacturing projects.

The 7 Rivers Alliance Golden Shovel Ready Sites
The 7 Rivers Alliance Golden Shovel Ready Site designation was developed for sites throughout the region that are ready for development, both publicly owned and privately owned. The designation is not meant to replace or compete with the state Certified Sites Programs. Rather, this program provides a scaled down alternative for smaller sites or those that cannot meet the criteria of the State program. To learn more click here.
