What economic effects has the stress of Covid-19 had on businesses across the Federal Reserve’s Ninth District?
Ron Wirtz, regional outreach director for the Minneapolis Federal Reserve, discussed on May 29 the state of the Wisconsin and Minnesota economy and the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak in an online meeting held by the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce and the 7 Rivers Alliance. The survey included a number of metrics looked at conditions, including comparative data from a May survey of firms in Minnesota, Wisconsin and neighboring states that garnered almost 1,100 responses.
The Minneapolis Fed recently partnered with state and local chambers of commerce, economic development associations and other business groups in each state to collect your feedback. The Winona Area Chamber of Commerce and the 7 Rivers Alliance helped in that effort.
