We are excited to report that the Inspire portal is continuing to progress at an exceptional pace as we continue to receive encouraging news from all corners of the 7 Rivers region. Thanks to our many community partners, career minded educators, and business associates, recruitment for Employer Partners and Career Coaches is on pace to reach project goals.

12 area school systems have already taken part in the Inspire process and are actively training area students to use our career planning tools. Over the past few months, 7 Rivers Alliance staff have been invited to attend several meetings hosted by Area Chambers of Commerce, School Systems, and Community Organizations to meet and greet potential Partners. To date, 112 employers and 101 individual coaches have successfully registered to be actively included in the program.

One of the portal’s Work Based Learning Activities, The Inspire Message Board, has already been used over 200 times by area students pursuing career information.  We know, while all this activity is exciting, we must continue to register coaches and companies with expertise in all 600 Career Cruising skill categories. This is imperative in making the message board work for every area student with a career interest and can have monumental impacts on student’s career readiness in the 7 Rivers Region.

If you know of friends or colleagues that might be have an interest in answering career related questions from area students, please encourage them to reach out and register.  This is a free process, and the satisfaction of having assisted a member of our future workforce to make the right career choice can be enormous.

I’ve attached our latest brochure for you to share with anyone interested in getting involved.
