As the Marketing and Events Intern for 7 Rivers Alliance you will wear a lot of different hats in the office. This internship provides candidates the opportunity to gain experience in many different areas of an organization to become an extremely well rounded employee. Students applying for this year-long position must be self motivated, creative, and able to problem solve independently. The candidate also must have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
Main responsibilities include: 

  • Administer all online accounts: Facebook, LinkedIn, and Website
  • Design and distribute monthly newsletters, press releases, and member updates
  • Responsible for major coordination from start to finish of local business events
  • Arrange speakers
  • Locate and secure venue
  • Schedule caterer 
  • Create and analyze promotional material
  • Work with INSPIRE Coordinator to promote program and increase registration
  • Office administration duties including phone calls, informational emails, and external communications
  • Knowledge on relevant programming is preferred (WordPress, Mail chimp, Adobe Design, etc)
