The Export Trade Assistance Program (ETAP) may reimburse eligible Iowa companies for up to 75 percent of defined international marketing expenditures in a qualifying trade show or IEDA trade mission held outside the U.S., to explore new markets or provide support to expand current markets.
Export Counseling & Training
The trade show is another classic marketing tool Iowa companies can use to effectively introduce products into a new market, or expand visibility in an existing market. Trade shows may provide an opportunity to meet potential buyers, test market interest and evaluate the competition. The International Trade Office consults with Iowa companies to help them select appropriate international trade fairs, and assist with show planning and follow-up. At designated shows, companies may share a State of Iowa booth or participate in an Iowa pavilion.
